Lydia McKee

Articling Student

Lydia brings a unique professional background to her role as an articling student, shaped by years of frontline healthcare work, team leadership, and tribunal experience.

While studying law at the University of Windsor, Lydia co-founded the Old and Wise Law Students (OWLS) club, a support network for mature law students. She honed her advocacy skills while competing in the Hicks Morley Moot and contributed academically first as a business associate, and later as Solicitations Editor, for the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues (WRLSI). She also supported first-year law students by volunteering as a judge for Windsor’s annual moot competition.

Before pursuing a law degree, Lydia worked as a Registered Nurse specializing in psychiatric healthcare. She later transitioned to an advocacy role, representing a psychiatric hospital at Ontario Review Board hearings, an experience that spurred her interest in the law.

Outside of the office, Lydia enjoys running, golfing and sewing.
