Amelia McLeod
Associate
Amelia maintains a broad civil litigation practice with a focus on commercial disputes. She has represented corporations, individuals, and municipalities in a wide range of matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, Small Claims Court, and in proceedings before administrative decision-makers. Amelia is a resourceful, determined advocate with particular experience navigating contract and shareholder disputes, breach of trust claims, and fraud allegations.
Prior to joining Paris & Sayer LLP, Amelia summered, articled, and worked as an associate at a full-service Bay Street firm where she advised clients on various regulatory matters, including compliance with the Competition Act.
Amelia obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Western Ontario. At law school, she developed her passion for oral advocacy, seizing every opportunity to participate in moots and public speaking competitions. Her accomplishments include winning the Lerner’s Cup—Western Law’s annual appellate advocacy competition—and representing Western at the Canadian rounds of the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
Amelia is a member of the Ontario Bar Association and The Advocates’ Society. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, thrifting, and tackling a never-ending stream of home improvement projects.
